The increasingly-bizarre Chef Statue seems to have been replaced by a life-size fiberglass statue of Captain Morgan.  RIP, Crazy Chef Statue.  
And on a related note, I have to hand it to the Captain- he's been rocking the Pirate thing since long before it was cool.  Bravo for holding out so long.

I think Crazy Chef Statue's new black shirt says "I have a black shirt" in Spanish.

Crazy Chef Statue's hat is now particolored blue and yellow, he's wearing a black T-shirt that says something in Spanish I couldn't quite translate but I think had something to do with music, has a bag dangling from his up hand, and now he has an acoustic guitar attached to his body, masking his missing arm. Met carasol, dry_2olives, and his friend Sonia for drinks before the show. We went to a bar that's right next to the other crazy chef statue. Had beer and I had nachos that were awesome. Had a strange dream that Glory and I were going to be doing a photo shoot of David Hernandez, with him costumed as a Satyr, wearing very little aside from horns, glitter, flowers in his hair, and panpipes. Strange, since Glory and David haven't even met, and indeed, live very far from each other.

Had the first Messiah read-through last night. It went well. Everyone's gonna be really good.

I've decided my first book of the New Year should be my re-read of American Gods. It's been a while since I read it last, and I want to read it again before reading Anansi Boys. I'm 117 pages in already. It's still so good.
